Grace Hartigan, Madame Recamier

Grace Hartigan is known for her contributions to Abstract Expressionism. Her late paintings were expressive figurative paintings inspired by old masters. Students will learn about Hartigan’s process of drawing from famous works of art history. Then, make their own abstract interpretations of famous paintings by old masters.
