Stations Words—Bars Cars brings together the works of American artists Ed Ruscha and Ron Cooper. Both artists were involved in the intensely creative time in 1960s California and the Chouinard Art Institute. An important aspect of each artists practice is the road, light, and movement across the landscape of the American west.
AMoA Summer Art Camps offer in-depth art experiences for area youth. Led by AMoA’s teaching artists, the Museum’s popular summer programs teach kids how to look at, talk about and create art.
The Texas Panhandle Student Art Show is an opportunity for students to exhibit and compete in the area of visual art.
The Dr. and Mrs. William T. Price Collection
The Amarillo Museum of Art’s Asian art collection has grown dramatically over the past 10 years through the generosity of Dr. and Mrs. William T. Price of Amarillo. Their donations of art objects have and will spark a variety of significant exhibitions, introducing Asian art and culture to the Texas Panhandle community and to visitors near and far. Learn more
