The Amarillo Museum of Art invites you to join us for the annual Ladd Lecture on Thursday, October 16, 2025. This free and popular event is made possible by the generosity of Peggy Ladd and her late husband Frank A. Ladd. The Ladd Lecture is an ongoing series of lectures by distinguished experts from across the United States with a focus toward a greater understanding and enjoyment of the visual arts.
Victoria Browning Wyeth is a prominent speaker, writer, and teacher on the multi-generational Wyeth creative legacy. She is the only grandchild of the artist Andrew Wyeth and, through her extensive interviews with him and his models, has unique insight into his work. Victoria’s lecture will examine the most famous works by Andrew and discuss subject matter, context, technique, and of course, fun family stories behind the paintings.
