Thanks to generous community leaders, the Austin Museum of Art has completed a long-held dream to restore its historic home at AMOA-Laguna Gloria, a site hugely popular for special events, art classes, exhibitions, weddings, memorials, and celebrations. It is beloved to art lovers, history buffs, architecture students, bird watchers, and naturalists.
With this much activity, it is imperative that we have the means to maintain this historic site in its renewed state. Additionally, our 12-acres of trees desperately need attention, and The Art School requires annual repairs and scholarship funds to diversify our student body.
So, please join The Friends of Laguna Gloria and share in the maintenance of this national treasure.
And if you are able to make an additional contribution to the restricted funds that support specific activities at AMOA-Laguna Gloria, we would be most grateful. Leadership support has already been generously offered in the following areas:
· Garden maintenance: Dealey and David Herndon · Scholarships: Katelena Hernandez Cowles and James Cowles · Scholarships: The Lowe Foundation
Its beauty inspires all who visit AMOA-Laguna Gloria; yet, there is still much to be done. If you are someone who loves and uses AMOA-Laguna Gloria, please help us to continue offering a unique array of cultural experiences at a well-maintained national treasure.
