SEEING SPECIAL THINGS
Seeing Special Things is 30 years old! SST is a multi-visit program that introduces 3rd through 5th grade students from Title I schools (schools with low-income enrollment of 75% or more) to the visual arts and the concepts of visual literacy. Each school year, 20 classes from 10 rotating Austin ISD schools receive four pre-tour classroom visits, free bus transportation and admission to four exhibitions at AMOA, interactive exhibition tours, and hands-on art activities. The Annual Seeing Special Things Student Art Exhibition celebrates students accomplishments at the end of the year.
